cat waste and sea ottersin the 2011 almanac [i don't remember what page-after he read it, my husband packed it with the books as we are moving]it was recommended that if we teach our cats to use the toilet, we will save a lot of landfill annually. unfortunately, the cat waste is not completely filtered out of the sewage and toxoplasmosis is getting in the sea water. it is killing otters! please don't take my word for it. contact jarod miller. he has a program called 'animal exploration' and is considered a leading authority on animals. but please don't allow cat waste in the sewage. use kitty litter, bag it and let it rot in the landfills. please don't let fear of filling landfills kill off the otters!
