Here are the winners of the first-ever Old Farmer's Almanac Poetry Contest [2]!
Thank you to all for inspiring the Almanac community! Whether you entered a poem or simply enjoyed reading the creative efforts of your fellow readers (and about 2,000 people did!), we appreciate your interest in verse.
There were SO many great poems that it was a challenge to select a winner! The Almanac editors narrowed the pool of entries several times and selected five finalists.
With readers' input, the winners are announced below. (The grand winner will receive a bundle of Almanac products, and the four runners-up will receive the soon-to-be-released 2012 Old Farmer's Almanac.)
We also recognize a poet to acknowledge the courage it took to share your creativity from the heart!
