Antique Christmas Tree Bobbins - Set of 12

Set of twelve 3" tiered hardwood bobbins in Ma’s choice of varied yarn colors. Display Christmas Tree Bobbins as one-of-a-kind holiday decorations or use for crafts, such as ornament making. What makes these bobbins so special is that they were actually used in a working textile mill and are likely to have a lovely patina that only comes with age and use.

Victorian textile mills used hardwood bobbins to manage heaps of thread on their vast looms.  Over time the textile industry changed and virtually all of the mills closed. For the past thirty years, Ma’s Bobbin Works of Maine has been recycling antique wood bobbins that are about 50 to 100 years old into nostalgic and decorative reminders of our industrial heritage. These hardwood Christmas tree shaped bobbins are made from real bobbins that were rescued from a shuttered textile mill.
