Although the Classic Edition of The Old Farmer's Almanac, is offered in four regional editions for quick reference, every edition of the Almanac contains instructions and tables in the section titled “How to Use This Almanac” that allow readers to calculate exact events (sunrise/sunset, moonrise/moonset, moon's place and age, as well as tides and other data) for virtually any location in the United States. In other words, someone in Boston could still use the Western Edition to calculate their exact event times.

If calculating exact event times sounds like something you don't want to do, try our My Local Almanac digital product that does the calculations for you.

I love the Farmer's Almanac.I

I love the Farmer's Almanac.I thought the red color of 2012 was different, but I liked it. I use the information for planting and all the other general moon sign data. My parents and grandparents always checked it before starting any task. I remember helping my grandparents to sit down and mark our big wall calendar each spring and summer months with which item should be planted on each day of the month. It was fun. To prove to my neighbor that it worked, we planted beans on a good planting day and a bad day, he was amazed at the difference it made in the two plants. He was hooked on following it from then on. Thank you, please never stop publishing the Farmer's Almanac. You help sooooo many people.

Will you ever come up with a Northeast region for the Almanac? The Northeast with it's Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean has specific weather patterns. Thanks.

Hello, M. Dana, The National edition is set to Boston. In a sense, this is the Northeast edition because The Old Farmer's Almanac was first published during George Washington's time--and printed in Boston!

I love The Old Farmer's Almanac! I use the weather charts to determine when I'll be able to do my spring planting. The astronomy information is terrific - when I see something I'm not sure about, I can use the almanac to figure out which stars/planets are visible at the time.
