Although the Classic Edition of The Old Farmer's Almanac, is offered in four regional editions for quick reference, every edition of the Almanac contains instructions and tables in the section titled “How to Use This Almanac” that allow readers to calculate exact events (sunrise/sunset, moonrise/moonset, moon's place and age, as well as tides and other data) for virtually any location in the United States. In other words, someone in Boston could still use the Western Edition to calculate their exact event times.

If calculating exact event times sounds like something you don't want to do, try our My Local Almanac digital product that does the calculations for you.

The Old Farmer's Almanac has

The Old Farmer's Almanac has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. I'm 59 now. My grandmother would buy me an almanac each year. I loved reading the articles and weather forecasts. I have continued the tradition by buying copies for all my children ... I'm sure they will care on the tradition as well. Thank you for an awesome product and many memories.

Our website pages get visited many millions of times per month, our Facebook fans number 165,000+ and grow daily, and we're releasing new smartphone apps regularly to better deliver the content that people have enjoyed since 1792.

How do I determine which one

How do I determine which one to purchase. Should I go with National since I live in New Jersey?

Yes, go with the National

Yes, go with the National Edition.

My OFA collection is unbroken

My OFA collection is unbroken from 1964 through 2012. I have not purchased 2013 and am not that I will. Formerly, I could not wait for the almanac to arrive because, it was used to plan all of my activities for the coming year. It took nearly 100hrs to compile, design and assemble my own calendar every year. The Old Farmers Almanac was my only source for the raw data.
September of 2012 an OFA telephone employee said that the "Western Edition" was behind schedule. Nearing thanksgiving I called again to order the almanac for my region and was informed they had no intention of publishing that edition anymore. There are no stores selling this magazine in my town. I wonder how much longer they can stay in business... sad, very sad... I feel betrayed.
