How do you use an almanac to know to best dates for surgery

Submitted by

First, always consult your physician when planning surgery.
For surgery dates, look in The Old Farmer's Almanac edition for the "Man of Signs" with an explanation of the Moon's signs associated with body parts. (Aries is attributed to the head, with the rest of the signs moving down the body.) Then, look at the "Moon's Place in the Astrological Zodiac" chart and find the dates when the Moon has passed into the signs below the body part on which you are going to have surgery. The farther away the Moon sign is from the sign associated with the afflicted body part, the better.
