Three Nested Cherry Wooden Bowls

These wooden bowls are food safe and handmade in the USA from a single piece of premium cherry hardwood. Only the most experienced artisans of New Hampshire Bread and Bowl are used to craft these traditional wooden bowls, which will grow lovelier with time and use.

This nested wooden bowl set contains:

• 8" oversized individual bowl
• 10" salad bowl for two
• 12" family salad bowl

Each bowl is approximately 4" deep and made from solid cherry.  They are given two coats of food-grade mineral oil to bring out their grain, and protect and nourish the wood.

How do I clean and care for my wooden salad bowl?
Simply clean the bowl with soap and water, just as you would with a cast iron pan. A quick wipe with a soapy sponge and rinse and your bowl will be food safe. Never place in the dishwasher or soak. Dry it off or flip it up on your dish dryer. Never store wet foods in your bowls overnight. Do not microwave or place in direct sunlight.

What kind of foods can be served in wooden bowls?
Serve anything you wish, from salad and popcorn, to soup! Wooden bowls especially complement foods from your farmer's market.

How often do I rub my bowls with food grade mineral oil or specialty bowl rub wood preservative?
Hand turned wooden bowls love to be used every day. You won`t wear them out and food oils only enhance the good looks of the wood. Rub them down when they are looking dry, but at least several times per year. Use special occasions as a reminder. If you use your wooden bowl as a decoration piece instead of a food preparation and serving bowl, you’ll have to rub your bowl down more often.
