Apple Relish

Try this with fish, ham or roast pork.

Yield: Makes 3 cups.

  • 3 tart apples, medium size
  • 3 dill pickles, medium size
  • 1 onion, medium size
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar

Halve and core the apples, but do not peel them. Put the apples, pickles and onion through a food chopper, using the coarse blade.

Combine in a small bowl with sugar and vinegar. Chill before serving.
