Asparagus Tips with Ham

A nice luncheon or supper dish to serve with hot buttered rolls or popovers. Vary by adding a little curry to the sauce or by sprinkling sliced almonds on top.

Yield: Serves 4

  • 2 pounds asparagus
  • 4 large thin slices ham
  • 2 cups cheese sauce

Wrap each piece of ham around 3 or 4 stalks of cooked asparagus. Place in a buttered baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over them. Place dish in a hot oven (400 degrees F) for 5 or 6 minutes or until browned.
