Baked Scallops

Ingredients

1 quart scallops
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons grated cheese
1 cup cream sauce add mushrooms if desired
salt and pepper

Instructions

Wash the scallops, cover them with cold water and heat slowly to the boiling point. Line a buttered baking dish with alternate layers of crumbs and scallops; sprinkle each with salt and pepper. Add the sauce, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese, and bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees F.

I made this with panko crumbs

I made this with panko crumbs insted of the breadcrums and added some garlik and finely chopped onion to the homemade white sauce with greenonion as garnish on top when serving... mmmm! good!
