Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Maple butter: Warm up stick of butter, add maple syrup, and then mash. Set aside. Biscuits: Sift dry ingredients and cut in Crisco. Add half-and-half and stir with fork. Pat or roll dough ½ inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter. Bake for 10 minutes on ungreased baking sheet. Serve with maple butter.
