Caraway Muffins

A tasty accompaniment for most soups, chowders, or stews.

Yield: Makes 12-14

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seed

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In separate bowl beat together eggs, milk, butter, and caraway seed. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well. Fill greased muffin pans half full of batter. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
