I found this recipe on a can of refried beans and tried it for a party and everyone liked it.
Yield: 12 servings
- 2 16-ounce cans refried beans
- 3 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 16-ounce jar mild picante sauce
- 1 4-ounce can chopped black olives
- 1 4-ounce can diced green chiles
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro
In large saucepan combine all ingredients. Heat and stir until cheese is melted and the beans are bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips.
