Yield: 16 squares
- 2-1/2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce
Mix all the ingredients except the cranberries together in a large bowl, working the mixture with your fingers until it is well blended and crumbles to about the size of peas. Pat half of this mixture firmly on a cookie sheet and spread the cranberry sauce over it. Sprinkle the rest of the crumbs over the top and to the edges. Pat gently but firmly. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 30-40 minutes. Cut in squares while still warm, and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
