This easy-to-make delicately flavored pie is just right after a heavy meal.
Yield: Serves 8.
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
Beat eggs slightly. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 minutes, then at 300 degrees F for 30 minutes.
