Yield: Serves 6-8
- 1-1/2 pounds haddock or cod fillet
- 1 jar chipped beef
- 2 cups cheese sauce (use canned cheese soup or see below)
- butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- paprika
Simmer the fillets till they flake in just enough water to cover the fish. Saute the chipped beef in butter till its edges curl. In a greased casserole make alternate layers of fish and chipped beef. Make a medium cream sauce (2 cups) and add grated cheese to taste. Add salt and pepper. Pour over the fish and beef. Dot with butter, sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
