Healthy Morning Breakfast Sausage


1/3 cup low-fat milk
1 egg
1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal (not instant)
1 pound ground chicken breast
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons dried sage
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


In a large bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Add oats and let mixture sit for 10 minutes. Stir in chicken, salt, sage, garlic powder, and black pepper. Shape mixture into 16 rounds.

Spray a skillet with no-stick spray. Brown chicken sausage patties for about 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
