Cream butter, add sugar gradually and the egg yolk and flavorings. Beat well.
Using raw egg yolk - a VERY risky idea!
We understand that there are some concerns about raw egg white and yolk in a recipe, however, most eggs are pasteurized in this day and age, so don't represent the threat they once did. It is possible to replace an egg in a recipe with 2 teaspoons of cornstarch.
