Peanut Butter Cake Recipe

Easy to make.

Yield: 12-16 slices

  • 2-1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup creamy shortening
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/4 cups milk
  • Frosting:
  • 1 pound box of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together sugar, shortening, peanut butter, and eggs. Add milk and flour. Pour batter into 2 9-inch greased cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until done.

For frosting mix all ingredients and beat until fluffy, add more milk if needed.
