PECAN BREAD

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
1/2 c milk
3/4 c liquid brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 c coarsely chopped pecans

Instructions

Preheat oven 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix together flour,baking soda, baking powder and salt. In a small bowl combine vinegar or lem juice and milk, let stand a few minutes. Add liquid: beat until combined. Add liquid ingredients to dry ing. stir until thoroughly mixed. Add pecans and stir until well distributed. Turn into a lightly greased 1x5x3 in. loaf pan. Bake 50 min. or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 min. Remove bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
