Raisin Sauce Recipe

  • 1-1/2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped candied ginger
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Mix raisins, brown sugar, and water and simmer 30 minutes.

Blend cornstarch with water to make smooth sauce. Stir into raisin mixture and cook over low heat until thickened.

Add lemon rind, lemon juice, and candied ginger to raisin mix.

At the last minute, add the chopped nuts.
