Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sour cream
2 cups flour (sift before measuring)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Cream the butter and sugar together and add the eggs, sour cream, and the flour sifted with the baking powder and soda and the vanilla. Put half ot the batter in a well buttered tube pan. Sprinkle half of the filling mixture and about ½ cup of raisins over the batter. Pour in the remainder of the batter and sprinkle it with the rest of the topping. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes, or until done.

I tried this recipe and it was great. I shared it with some friends and they loved it too. The recipe is simple and easy to make. I'll be keeping this in my rotation. It smelled so good while baking we could hardly wait for it to cool to slice it.
