Spiced Pear Muffins Recipe

  • 1-3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup peeled, chopped fresh pears
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin. In a bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt. Stir in pears, buttermilk, and oil; blend only until dry ingredients are moistened. Batter will be lumpy. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake for about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
