The winning candidates from each party will have the following donations made in their name:

  • A day’s worth of meals (snacks included!) for a donkey or an elephant (depending on the candidate’s party). The lucky animals (who have yet to be chosen!) respectively reside at Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue in Tehachapi, California, and The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
  • A copy of The Old Farmer’s Almanac for Kids, Volume 2, for every child at an elementary school of the candidate’s choosing or one in the town they now call home.

Thank you for participating in The Old Farmer's Almanac New Hampshire Presidential Straw Poll. Congratulations and best wishes to alll the candidates!

Notes: Candidates Dodd and Biden were removed from the Straw Poll on January 3, 2008 after dropping out of the race. Votes cast previously for those candidates are not included in totals or percentages.

Votes cast in The 2008 Old Farmer's Almanac New Hampshire Presidential Straw Poll are unique to this event and are not included/counted in the real New Hampshire presidential primary that will take place on January 8, 2008, or in any other U.S. presidential primary election, caucus, or poll.
