The coldest periods will occur in early January, mid-February, and early March, with the snowiest periods around Boxing Day, New YearÕs Day, in early February, and in early March.
April and May will be drier than normal, with near-normal temperatures.
Summer will be slightly cooler than normal, with the hottest periods in early and mid-July and early September. Rainfall will be above normal in Newfoundland and Labrador and below normal elsewhere.
Despite a tropical storm threat in mid-October, precipitation in September and October will be below normal, while temperatures will be above normal.
