Just an anecdote - a friend of mine found a spring peeper near her door. He had a lame (or possibly deformed) leg. She knew he would not likely survive on his own so she took him in, purchased everything needed for a nice habitat, fed him crickets and frog food and kept him alive for 3 years. He rarely peeped living indoors, but from time to time he did. She would never remove an animal from its natural environment, but with a bad leg, this little guy needed some help.
