Friday, June 25, 2010: Partial eclipse of the Moon (June 25-26).
This eclipse will be fully visible only from Hawaii. The Moon enters penumbra at 10:56 P.M. HAST on June 25 and leaves penumbra at 4:21 A.M. on June 26. It will be partially visible from western and central North America. The Moon enters penumbra at 1:56 A.M. PDT on June 26 and enters umbra at 3:17 A.M. PDT. However, the Moon will have set before the eclipse exits umbra at 6:00 A.M. PDT. Only a penumbral eclipse will be visible from most of the East Coast, starting on June 26 at 4:56 A.M. EDT before the Moon sets.
