National Origami Day is on November 11th! Origami, which originated in Japan, is the ancient art of folding a square piece of paper into shapes and figures. Try it and make a windmill using these steps from The Old Farmer's Almanac for Kids!

1. Take a square piece of paper and fold in half to make a crease, then unfold.
2. Fold in both ends to meet at the center crease.
3. Fold top and bottom to meet in the center.
4. Unfold at the top and bottom.
5. Open the corners, then fold forward at the dotted lines.
6. Flatten the bottom crease and repeat step 5 for the top.
7. Fold diagonally at the dotted line.
8. Open at the arrows slightly to make spaces.
9. Push a pin through the center of the windmill and into a straw or small stick.
