Description

After purchase you will get an emailed receipt, plus a separate email that has your My Local Almanac PDF attached (Email is the only way to get your My Local Almanac PDF. My Local Almanac cannot be downloaded from your account). Be patient as it can take as long as 5 minutes to arrive. If you don't get the email, check your spam/junk mail filter!

My Local Almanac is a special Old Farmer's Almanac digital product that customizes astronomical timetables for your specific location and time zone in the U.S. or Canada. My Local Almanac complements The Old Farmer's Almanac, it does not replace it.

You'll get 13 months of printable charts, beginning with the month in which you place your order. The charts are delivered as a PDF file for your computer or tablet.

Each monthly chart includes:

  • Day of Year
  • Day of Month
  • Day of Week
  • Sun Rises
  • Sun Sets
  • Length of Day
  • Sun Fast/Slow
  • Declination of Sun
  • High Tides Times
  • Moon Rises
  • Moon Sets
  • Moon Place
  • Moon Age
  • Moon Last Quarter
  • New Moon
  • First Quarter
  • Full Moon

Enter 5-digit U.S. zip code or 6-character Canadian postal code to get started.

The chart information in My Local Almanac is in every Old Farmer's Almanac but the numbers are national, which means approximate for your location. To get specific, accurate information for your location you have to perform a calculation. The formula is also in every Almanac and it is not too hard, but it can feel a little like homework. Our My Local Almanac product does the calculations for you!

Important: This product observes daylight savings time. If you live in an area that doesn't observe daylight savings time, such as Arizona or parts of Indiana, then this product will be inaccurate and it is not recommended.

    My Local Almanac

My comments are the same as last year. The local Almanac pages seem to be controlled by ZipCode, city, and/or state. There's no reason why the Arizona ZipCodes can't be set up to eliminate the time shift to DST which the state Does Not Have! I send an Almanac to my brother in Tucson every year and I have to remind him each time that the pages are off by an hour for about 7 months! Should be an easy fix!!

    Excellent local data!

This is the third or fourth year I've purchased a local almanac, and I enjoy the local details it gives me. I'm a fan of astronomy, and it's fun to track moon phases, sunrise and sunset times. Excellent resource!

    My Local Almanac

Thank you for offering this option. I have purchased the Farmers Almanac every year since I can remember. My father always had one be his chair. He wasn't a farmer but thought he could grow anything in our Western NY garden. Grateful you still publish both for us with green thumbs!

    My "Local" Almanac

This is supposed to be LOCAL, geared to Tucson AZ zipcode 85749. Why doesn't it take into account that Arizona - including this zipcode - does NOT go to Daylight Saving Time? Not very good for about 8 months of the year. Very dissatisfied.

    My Local Almanac

I utilized my Farmers Almanac and did not make the necessary adjustments for my time zone (Central). I am quite pleased. Still learning my way around the Almanac and enjoying myself.

Saves time. I don't have to figure out my local times by going to the pages of "The Old Farmer's Almanac.er

It was a good idea on the part of those who work on the "Old Farmer's Almanac" to offer the "My Almanac" publication.

    My Local Almanac

The My Local Almanac is very helpful in finding local sunrise and sunset times, as well as moon rise and set times, along with the moon's age on any given date. I find the sunrise/sunset times very useful in setting mechanical timers for outdoor lights at our church. The tide tables are only useful if you live near a body of water with significant tides.

    my local almanac

This is a great great product. For years I carried a note card with conversion from Boston to my area. Then you published the Southern Edition. I could use it anywhere in Ga and not be off more than minutes anywhere in GA. You quit the Southern Edition. Buttttt the new edition by zip code is even BETTER! I order it, it appears in minutes and I print it. Thank you! I still purchase the Boston edition but use the zip code version most. Been using the Almanac for over 50 years, Thank you. Earl R.
