Our Honey-Mustard Glazed Ham makes a striking main dish with its shiny, caramelized coating. A tangy, crunchy crust yields a mouthwateringly delicous interior.

There aren’t many ingredients in this recipe, so be sure to buy a good ham! And enjoy leftovers the next day.

Ingredients
1 ham (10 pounds), smoked, bone-in
1 cup honey
1/4 cup whole-grain mustard
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (1/2 stick)
Instructions

Pre-heat the oven to 350°F.

Trim some of the fat (not all) from the exterior of the ham, leaving about a 1/4-inch layer all over. Bring the ham to room temperature for 30 minutes to 40 minutes.

Place the ham, cut side down, in a roaster pan (lined with parchment paper) . Tightly cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.

In a small saucepan, combine honey, mustard, brown sugar, and butter. Warm under medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter melts and the brown sugar has completely dissolved, about 3 minutes.

Set aside and let cool to room temperature.

Remove ham from oven and place on a cutting board.

Increase oven temperature to 425°F.

Using a sharp knife, score a 1-inch-wide diamond pattern (don’t cut more than 1/4 inch deep) over the entire ham.

Brush the ham with about 1/3 cup of the glaze and return it to the oven (uncovered).

Bake 15 minutes. Then brush with 1/3 cup of glaze and repeat every 15 minutes until all of the glaze has been used, about 55 to 60 minutes

You should see a dark golden-brown crust forming.

Let rest for 20 or wo minutes before carving.
