1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup diced green bell peppers
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a nonstick skillet, brown beef with onion and peppers. Drain off any excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, and garlic salt. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits; split each in half. Press 10 biscuit halves into the bottom of an ungreased 8- or 9-inch square baking dish.
In a bowl, mix ½ cup cheddar with sour cream and egg.
Remove beef from heat and stir in sour cream mixture. Spread on top of biscuits. Cover with remaining biscuit halves. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
