This was something my mom made when I was a kid. I got the recipe from a friend on myspace and decided to add a little maple syrup to the cream. What a fusion of flavors!!
In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in butter, milk, vanilla and egg until smooth. Fold in berries. Pour into greased 9x9” pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
With mixer, beat cream until peaks begin to form. Add maple syrup and vanilla and continue beating until desired consistency.
