Make a soft shortcake dough, adding the milk. Wash and shake dry the berries and mix them with the sugar and rind; place in a buttered 2-quart casserole. Cover the berries with the dough and dot with butter. Bake at 375 degrees F for 35-40 minutes and serve hot with whipped cream or ice cream.
Use the same recipe, substituting blackberries for blue and adding I teaspoon of cornstarch.
