This more unusual recipe is easy to prepare and makes a lovely crust. But allow ample time to chill two hours or more.
2 cups Crisco
4 cups flour
1 cup ginger ale
1/2 teaspoon salt
Blend shortening and flour. Add ginger ale and salt. Mix thoroughly with hands. Chill well and roll out.
Enough for 2 double-crust 8-inch pies.
