Chocolate Cream Pie


2 cups milk
2/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
A 9-inch pie shell, baked
Whipped cream, for garnish


Put milk, sugar, salt, cocoa, and cornstarch in top of a double boiler and cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Add beaten eggs and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and pour into baked pie shell. Let cool, then garnish with whipped cream.


Serves 6 to 8.
