Curried Chicken Soup


1 can concentrated cream of chicken soup
1 can concentrated chicken consomme
1 cup light cream or milk
1 teaspoon fresh onion juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic
1 apple peeled, cored and quartered, or fruit of half a cantaloupe


Mix all ingredients together, and whirl in the blender with 4 or 5 cubes of ice until light and very cold. Add salt if necessary. Serve the soup in chilled bowls. Several garnishes are good with this soup-grated orange rind, chopped chives, toasted almonds, chopped green pepper, or garlic croutons. This is a great taste teaser on a hot day.
