Grandma's Lemon Bread


1 1/2 cup flour
1cup sugar
1/2tsp salt
1tsp baking powder
2 large eggs
2/3 cup carnation milk
1/3 cup olive or veg oil
1 1/2 tsp lemon rind grated


Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Beat eggs, milk, oil, and lemon; pour into flour mixture and stir just until combined.

Bake 55 to 60 minutes in preheated 350 degree F oven.

Punch holes in bread and pour lemon sauce over cake.

Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.


  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup lemon juice

In small pan, cook on low heat 5 minutes until sugar is dissolved and a light syrup forms.
