Green Bean Casserole

Our family (of 18 grandchildren, children, and in-laws) doesn't care for the traditional recipe so we found another recipe and modified it and everyone likes it better.
16 oz. frozen or canned green beans, drained if canned.
1 (10.75-oz.) can cream of mushroom soup.
1/4 cup diced onion.
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) Velveeta cut onto 1/2" cubes or shredded. (Note: you can substitute 1 cup
Cheez-Whiz Dip for the Velveeta.)
1-1/2 cups hot water.
1/4 cup butter.
1(6-oz.) package Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken.
Heat oven to 350 F.
Combine beans and soup and onions in 2 Qt. casserole dish top with Velveeta.
Add butter and water to a medium bowl: stir until melted. Stir in Stuffing Mix until moistened.
Spoon over bean mixture.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until heated through.

To kick the recipe up a bit

Love Green Bean Casserole! For those who may find it 'boring' just add some of your favorite spices. I like to add lemon pepper to a lot of my recipes for a little added zing.
