Lace Cookies


1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
2 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets. In heavy saucepan combine all ingredients except vanilla, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and stir in. Remove pan from heat. Drop batter by spoonfuls about 4 inches apart on well-greased cookie sheet. Bake 5 minutes until golden brown. Let sit for about 1 minute before removing from sheet with spatula.


Makes 4-1/2-5 dozen.
