Meat Loaf for 65
A recipe that’s been the basis for its share of church suppers in Lancaster, Massachusetts.
Ingredients
20 pounds ground beef
10 cups rolled oats
10 cups grated carrots
5 cups minced onions
24 eggs, beaten
5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl. Form into two 10-inch-long loaves and place in a large roasting pan or form into eight loaves and place in eight 8-inch by 4-inch loaf pans. Bake the long loaves for 1-¼ hours; bake the small loaves for 50 to 60 minutes.
