Recipe for Quick Cherry Crisp


1/3-1/2 glass sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
4 cups frozen unsweetened set tart red cherries
1 cup disintegrated shortbread cookies
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
1/4 cup slashed pecans or almonds, toasted
Ice cream(discretionary)


1. In a little bowl, join sugar and cornstarch. In a large pan, sprinkle cornstarch mixture over cherries; stir to consolidate. Cook and mix over medium high temperature around 10 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Cook and mix for 2 minutes more. 2. Then, in a medium vessel, completely consolidate disintegrated cookies, margarine, and nuts. 3. Isolate cherry mixture among four pastry dishes. Sprinkle cookie mixture over cherry mixture. If desired, present with Ice cream.
