Shad Roe


2 pair shad roe
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
salt and peppe


Put roe in a frying pan and add the water, salt, and pepper, and cook slowly, covered until the water is gone. Add the butter and brown for about 10 minutes. Serve with crisp bacon and lemon wedges, with or without baked shad.
