I had some garlic grits a long time ago and decided to make my own but with cheese and other stuff. Goes with about any kind of meat dish.
1-CUP GRITS (WHITE OR YELLOW)
1- TBSP. GARLIC SALT
1- TBSP. GARLIC POWDER
1- TSP. SEASONED SALT OR YELLOW POPCORN SALT (OPT)
1/2- TSP. PEPPER
2 0R 3 TBSP. PARSLEY FLAKES (OPT. BUT LOOKS GOOD)
4 TO 6 STRIPS BACON, FRIED AND CRUMBLED (MORE THE BETTER)
1/4 LB. (MORE FOR CRAIG) SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE, SHREDDED
SAVE A HANDFUL FOR THE TOPPING.
ADD SOME VELVETA IF YOU HAVE IT.
2 OR 3 TBSP. OF BUTTER OR MARGARINE, (MORE THE BETTER)
MIX ALL THE DRY INGREDIENT
