This delicious and fruity dessert is sure to be a hit with the whole family. If you’ve never heard of kuchen, it is a German cake (literally, kuchen means cake in German). This version always comes out moist and is bursting with flavor from the fresh plums. This recipe comes courtesy of Linda Ruth of Peterborough, New Hampshire.
“When I was a child, in mid-1960s, our minister’s wife shared this recipe with us. Our whole family loved this creamy, fruity, crunchy dessert. When everyone started getting computers, we transferred the recipe from index card to computer file, and we lost it when our computer crashed. Years later, I did a recipe search for “Heavenly Plum Kuchen” —and lo, I found it online! It just proves that you can find anything on the Internet. Thank you, Marge Kling!”
