Daylight wasting time

Children at a cold, dark bus stop, is not my idea of safe or smart. The economic impact on businesses and commerce in general, is made more detrimental when some state does not adhere to the time changes, others do, in addition to the established continental and world time differences. All of these factors would make the elimination of the confusing practice a “no brainer”. Thank you.

warm rains

I live right on the Nampa-Caldwell border, and we got a couple of incredibly warm showers today, with some cooler night showering last evening. Today’s rain was accompanied by bright sunlight (smoggy even still by the California fires going on right now), and it was about 88 degrees outside. Humid, too.

Region 13

I live in Southeast Idaho, right on the Northern Utah border. Since I’m right in the middle of the Intermountain region I’m not sure which forecast to follow...north or south?

July and August

This has been the hottest summer yet. Temps in the high 90s and into the 100's. No rain. I read one report that we have had 2 inches of moisture this summer. Now mind you, this is central Utah. But if we don't get a huge snow pack this winter we are in big trouble. Animals are suffering from the heat. I am trying hard to keep my goats and sheep comfortable. Global warming is real, we have spoiled our nest.
