Central California

There should be another region. Central California ( Santa BarbaraSan Luis Obispo County) has a whole different climate.

San Luis Obispo County

I agree, we need specfic forecast for San Luis Obisp County, in California. We have coastal areas and inland, very different climates.

Change your definition of Pacific SW

TOFA, you may want to change your definition of the Pacific SW. California has two distinct climate types. Southern California has a distinctly different climate from Northern California, which is more similar to the climate experienced by the Pacific NW. It would be far better to have a Northern California zone and a Southern California zone in your forecast rather than lumping them together as the Pacific SW.

Northern California

Middle California and Southern California have very different climates during the winter than Northern California. Starting at the Sutter Buttes and going to the Oregon border, is Northern California. Yes, we get the heat but, the mountains get more snow and the climate is cooler in the winter. Sacramento and the Delta/Bay areas get lots of fog. We are drier. Please don't lump Northern California with the rest of the state-so that we can have more accurate forecasts in the future.

You are wrong

California has four main climate regions and 3 climate zones. The zones are a subtropical climate zone, a hot tropical climate zone which is Southern California, and
the temperate climate zone Which is Northern California. The Climate regions are as follows Northern California, Pacific North West climate, Central Calfornia climate, Southern California climate, Pacific South West Climate. California also has a Mediterranean climate.

Northern & Southern Calif

I totally agree. Our Southern Calif climate is not like that of San Francisco and points farther north. In SoCal, we have a Mediterranean climate, and except for occasional heat during July to Sept, it is very pleasant.

I think your close ...

Southern California does have semi-Mediterranean climate, but in cities that are next to the ocean. Inland temperatures and precipitation typically mirror those of a more arid, desert climate with lower precipitation and colder temperatures in winter and much drier and hotter temperatures in summer. The California area has such varied climates that are not far from one another, it’s interesting to live there, ridiculously expensive yes, but still a great place to live (if you avoid the traffic :) ).

Change your Definition

I'm am right on board with the writer of "CHANGE YOUR DEFINITION OF PACIFIC SW". There are two completely different halves of California climate. Los Banos to North have a wetter climate, cooler temps and plenty of water. From Los Banos South the climate is dry with hotter temps and lack of water.

Riverside County

What kind of weather can the Riverside county expect from October 2019 into January 2020? Last year we had a very nice and unusually chilly Thanksgiving holiday. I was just wondering if we should expect the same this year. Please advise/thank you!!!
