Gender reveal party

Hello. What will the weather be like in Miramar on the afternoon of Saturday, November 21st? I am hosting my daughter's gender reveal party and we are hoping to have food and entertainment stations outside under my pergola. Usually the tropically disturbed weather has passed by that date, however I know this year is forecast to be a particularly heavy season. I need to speak to the manager of my catering company in advance to determine what we should be ordering. Thank you, Karen.

Summer 2020 Florida Weather

Allow me to share a Forrest Gump Quote: "One day it started raining, and it didn't quit for four months. We been through every kind of rain there is. Little bitty stingin' rain, and big ol' fat rain, rain that flew in sideways, and sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath."

Just like the movie Forrest Gump, this is how Florida summer weather appears for the past many years. During spring, we will have clear and beautiful weather for the majority of the time. And once summer starts, it just starts raining. Everyday. No clear skies or sunny days. Just rain for months on end. And this summer 2020 is no exception. It seems like it must have been March or April the last time we had a clear, sunny day. And don't forget about the humidity. Every year is seems the humidity and heat index is getting higher.

Florida weather.

- I've lived in west central FL for the past 40 years. The weather has definitely changed and not for the better. It has gotten hotter and hotter during the summer and we don't get cooler temps in the fall or winter. In the first half of 2020, it seems it went from summer to spring with no fall or winter in-between. Yeah we had a few cool days, but nothing like the winter weather we had in the 1970s or early 1980s.
- Still we Floridian complain. Yeah we have hurricanes. More on the east coast than west coast of FL. But we get warnings days in advance. We don't have raging fires or earthquakes like CA & western states. We don't have the flooding like the midwest . NC & SC get more hurricanes than us. [ and i am talking about us who live in west central FL]. We don't get nor'easter storms like NY / NJ.
Yeah it's brutally hot in July & Aug and we stay inside our a/c homes and drive a/c cars. But when the weather changes we are back outside playing & working on our lawns and gardens.
- We can go for a swim in Dec or Jan, depending on our individual fortitude against the cooler water in the gulf or pool. During a cold snap you can tell the tourist from the natives. Tourist are dressed in shorts and a t-shirt wearing sandals. Natives & longtime transplants are dressed in coats or heavy sweaters, long pants or jeans in socks and shoes.
- I like visiting others states when they aren't fighting a disaster. I love my city. It's no longer called ''gods waiting room''. Our mayor has made our city a city for the 21st century. West central FL is my home, and this is the place where they will bury me.
signed a former native of New Jersey & now a happy Florida transplant. [after 40 yrs i can now consider myself a native.]

Florida year round heat vs Northern/Mountain paradise!

I spent most of my growing up years in NE Florida, with the exception of a few GREAT years of four seasons in Chicago, and fortunately, I have been able to live in other states during my adult life. At 61 and disabled, unfortunately I am stuck in NE FL, but my dream is to get back to the NC/TN mountains to live out the rest of my years in DECENT weather....four distinct seasons to look FORWARD to. Chip. I agree with you..I can't wait to get out of this place...the two seasons of "hot" and "hotter than h#ll" are getting to be too much and miserable! I have to just stay in, there is only abut one month that is decent weather and that's January, the humidity and heat makes it very hard to breathe with COPD, let alone go out and do much of anything that involves movement. Nothing to look forward to here, always hot during the day, no color changes...disgusting and depressing. Yes, being hot all the time is depressing. There is nothing better than going out walking in the crisp fall weather. Then again, I absolutely LOVE snow, cold weather and winter! What's enjoyable about having to stay in everywhere you go, just to be in the A/C? Contrary to what you say "Iron Head", not all of us can go jump in the pool, or even like to and not everyone loves the beach. I was a lifeguard in my teen years at the pool and beach, and if I never see the beach again, it wouldn't bother me a but...the mountains..pure Heaven on earth! And no, you don't have to stay inside in the north..I lived in Buffalo, NY for a few years and would take 8 ft of snow over the rains, humidity and heat, ANY day! I would rater shovel snow than deal with nasty rain like FL has too. If I never saw the temperature go above 70, it would be PERFECT! I will always stick to the fact that, when it's cold, you can always put more clothes and blankets on, but when its hot like this, if you don't have A/C or a "pool", you can be NAKED and STILL not get cool!

Florida Heat vs Northern Snow

My neighbor here in Florida, from Queens, was complaining about the heat.

I asked him, "How long is it cold in New York? One month? Two? Three? Four, five or six?"

He chuckled and I said, "You have to stay inside, but have to keep your driveway and sidewalk shoveled to keep from getting a fine and to get your car on the road. Right!

If it's too hot here we sit inside in comfortable air conditioning and jump in the pool anytime. We get in our car (in the garage), turn on the air and drive any where we want. When we get there, we walk into an air conditioned building or put our butts in the sand and toes in the water.

And we don't shovel rain!

Oppressive heat and humidity

Why anybody would go to Florida from May to end of October is nuts. You'll have to stay indoors the entire time in the air conditioning. And then, when it starts to get nicer, the snowbirds arrive and the roads are so packed, you'll stay home some more!

Will it be rain or shin on hallowean in ponce inlet for trick n treet

Weather changes, perhaps cyclical

I am a fifth generation Floridian and I have lived here for almost 54 years. When I was a kid living in North Florida, Summers were hot and the rain came every afternoon like clock work around 3 PM and lasted for about 20 Minutes and then the sun came out and it was humid as hell. It started getting cooler mid September and lasted through April. Winters got very cold and I remember it being 14 degrees several days. Snow came around about every 20 years and it was no more than a couple of inches. Over the past twenty years, I have seen a change in the weather, Florida is becoming hotter, all year round with very little cooler months. Now I am staying put, Florida is a great State with a great economy. I have visited the new England States and loved the weather up there but the cold winters would keep me from ever relocating.

I’ve lived in the state of Florida my entire 52 years it has continually gotten hotter each and every year deforestation and overpopulation, construction of concrete and asphalt have ruined this state We will be relocating north ASAP

We have an event planned for Nov 28, 2020 in Jacksonville . What is the noon weather?
