For Region 6 (Lower Lakes), our prediction for June 5-13, 2018, is a few thunderstorms and warm. If you are planning an outdoor event, it’s always best to have a backup plan, just in case. Hope your dad’s 80th birthday celebration turns out wonderfully, no matter what the weather!

June 17, 2018 Wedding

I’m just wondering about the weather forecast for June 17th this year. My fiancé and I are planning an outdoor wedding and would like to know if we should consider a backup plan. Thank you

June wedding weather

For Region 6 (Lower Lakes), for June 14-21, 2018, we are predicting scattered thunderstorms, with warm temperatures in the eastern part of the region and cool temperatures in the western part. When planning an outdoor wedding, it is always a good idea to have a backup plan, just in case. No matter what the weather turns out to be, though, we wish you both a very happy wedding day! Congratulations!

grad party planning

Planning an outdoor grad party in Romeoville IL on June 10th what will weather most likely be?? it is under a pavillion but a large vent in middle at the top and no ladder tall enough to reach up to cover in case of rain Help. Any idea what to put if it rains.

No ladder

Buy a 12foot square heavy plastic tarp with eyelets on it. Buy 4, 50 foot balls of 1/4 inch rope . Tie a rope to each corner of the tarp and then make two large looped handles by tying two ropes together on each side of the tarp. On one of the handles tie or tape a 2 liter Pepsi bottle full of water to the middle of one of the handle loops. Then position the tarp with the Pepsi bottle loop as near to the edge of the roof as possible. Have sometime tall throw the Pepsi bottle over the roof watching so no one is in the way. Then detach the bottle and 4 people use the looped handles to pull the tarp back and forth until its over the hole. Now tie the ropes to tables or poles or attach Pepsi bottles to each side for weights to hold it from blowing off. Walla, no ladder needed. Have fun! Oh and pull the tarp down when you leave. Oh, you may think twice about covering that hole if it's designed to let smoke out from barbecue grills that are in use under that pavilion. Cough cough. Lol
