We’re trying to pick our wedding date. It’s going to be in our back yard in Clarkston Michigan. We’re trying to decide 3rd weekend in August or second weekend in September. It’s our second marriage and we’ve been together for 15 years. Ya. About time. So you can see the importance of the weather. We will look further but any good advice I’d appreciate

Wedding Weather

We are forecasting scattered thunderstorms for both those periods of time, though we are also predicting August to have less precipitation than normal, so it may be your safer bet. However, you know the regional climate of your area best, so we would say to go with your gut!

You may also find our Weather History tool helpful. With it, you can look at how the weather was on any particular day in the past, which can help you predict how it might be this year.

Hi Noah here in Central Ill. Can my chickens survive outside this March with lots of rain in the. forcast?

When it rains, just make sure

When it rains, just make sure your chickens have access to dry shelter to dry off.  And keep their shavings as dry as possible.

Chickens in rain

If chickens get wet and cold, it can lead to them getting sick or even death. So, not only do they need to be able to have access to a dry shelter and shavings or straw, they may also need a heat lamp. I also have a radiant heat panel on my wall near their roost. They'll dry off and warm up.

people need to stop complaining about winter

Hi Farmers Almanac
I was wondering if people would stop complaining about the snow and Cold.

well jesse,

im not sure what'll happen, if your unhappy about the news here im so sorry to hear it. but it is odd its snowing in march, now jesse, you have a g'day.

Last Snow Melt

I live in Lansing, MI and I was wondering if you can tell me when the snow is forecasted to completely melt in this area.

Winter 2018

So far, it has been very cold and snowy in our area for the year. Below average temps, and a lot of storms.

This is ok though, and to be expected in my area. We are so far in the lead for the area's snow globe award with 105.4 inches of snow.
We are experiencing pretty warm temps right now (Mid February) and are hoping that the Groundhog was fibbing, and that winter is over.

So far spot on for this time of year, and I am hoping sport on for March as well because winter was very trying this year, thank the snow gods for snow tires!

So far you have been spot on for my area and I appreciate your work.
