Is Charlottesville going to get any substantial snowfall in February or March of 2019?
Feb, Mar snow?
We are predicting below-normal snowfall for this winter, so it is not expected. There will be snowfall events occasionally in each month, and the snow could be hazardous, but we are not forecasting snowstorms for this region. Keep up with daily conditions here: https://www.almanac.com/weather/forecast

Actually, “the most” is hard to gauge; we are predicting snow at the end of January and snow showers or flurries during February. We are not predicting any snowstorms this winter in this region…but it could happen!
A mild start.....
….to 2019! Temps in the upper 50s and 60s predicted for later today in the Piedmont region of central VA - Amherst, VA.

Sorry for the delay in responding; staff was out for the holidays. Rutherforton falls in Region 4, the Southeast, but when folks are close to another region we suggest that you check both/all regions and consider what is “normal” for your immediate area. Remember, our predictions are deviations from the normal, or average, weather.
Christmas Snow for Frederick Md??
December 24-27th says Snowy periods north, rain south. What exactly does this mean for Frederick Maryland? Could really use a white Christmas this year!
Frederick's forecast
This region, 3, runs more or less along the Appalachian chain (thus the name), reaching as far north as New York state and south into North Carolina. Frederick is more or less in the middle of the region, so the community is more or less in the middle of the prediction. So you may have snowy periods and/or you may have rain. Whatever the weather, we hope you have a bright and merry Christmas!
